Windows 10: new laptop start up issues with the pin

Discus and support new laptop start up issues with the pin in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I've just bought a new Lenovo laptop and am in the middle of set up.     I've just bought a new Lenovo laptop and am in the middle of set up. I checked the Lenovo app and it recommended 2 updates one being a bios thingy can't remember exact description upon the reboot it's telling me it can't use my pin " set up new pin " which I try to do . It then tells me it's sending a code to a very old Hotmail account which it is not doing. I've sent my own message to Hotmail via a different email account and it went through no problem. What do I do now the brand new laptop is nothing more than a big paper weight.I've tried repair stuff and reset this pc and it all goes b

    You can pin the website to Start

    • Open the web site and click on (…)
    • Click on pin to start

    • Go to Start >
      All Apps.
    • Press and hold (or right-click) an app.
    • Select Pin to Start.

    Hi Scott,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps how to Change PIN password:

    • In the search box, type settings.
    • Then Click on accounts.
    • Then on the left hand side click on sign in options.
    • Then you can Select Change PIN password and remove the pin.
