  1. New laptop started to auto scroll to the bottom of Settings panel, will not go up

    Windows 10 v 20H2 Build 19042.804

3 days old laptop, the issue started today, I haven't made any system changes or installed anything today.

The mouse or TouchPad (with mouse unplugged) scrolls to the very bottom of the right hand pane of settings panel when trying to make a selection. Works fine in the left pane. Also Netflix info and scroll bar will not disappear.

I tried looking up answers at Microsoft, only found people having the same problem without a solution

  2. New Mouse Not in Device Manager: Auto Scroll Not Working?

I checked the control panel. It lists the receiver but not the mouse. Will getting Setpoint fix that? Also, any idea about the middle mouse button thing.

Thanks for following up. How about any changes on the settings of your laptop prior to the issue? Please advise.

In the mean time, we suggest that you try the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. This will search for any problems with your device and find a fix for it. Here are the steps:

    • Launch Control Panel via Cortana search.
    • Beside "View by:", select large icons.
    • Click Troubleshooting.
    • Click View all.
    • Click Hardware and Devices.

After the troubleshooter, take note for any error message that will appear and let us know. Restart your PC and see if the issue persist.

    All the best.

New laptop started to auto scroll to the bottom of Settings panel, will not go up

    AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
