Hey, I need a new laptop and have a $1000 budget. Which laptop would you recommend me. I program in java, write down some papers, occasionally edit some photos and watch YouTube. Hope you can help me. Thanks

  2. Windows 10 media player won't play mpg video files

The only thing I would suggest is to search for PowerDVD From C:\

Make sure to search through hidden files too.

  3. Windows 10 media player won't play mpg video files

This recommendation to use Cyberlink helped quite a bit. I am now able to see my *.mpg videos.

    1. In Windows Explorer, right click on a file with an MPG extension. Select Properties.

    2. Go to Opens With - > Change

    3. Scroll down until you find "More apps" then "look for another app on this pc"

    4. Navigate to the PowerDVD14 directory and select the PowerDVD file. It is the second one from the bottom.

    5. Then Select Open.

    6. Select Okay. The mpg file extension should now be associated with Cyberlink and open the video.

    7. Good Luck!

Not knowing more about your tastes, its kinda hard to make a specific recommendation but EXcaliberPC has some very good deals on gaming and business-type laptops. I got this one (see my spec.'s) for a very good price. No problems with the order/billing/shipping either. Toshiba makes some excellent laptops and their Customer Service is top notch! Or was the last time I owned one.

  5. Well, all of the major manufactures make good laptops. I would suggest going to a big box store such as BestBuy and take a gander at all of them. The main thing to consider is 16gb of RAM, SSD drive, Windows 10 Pro, and usb 3 ports. Almost anything after that is gravy. I have preferences for HP laptops is what I have at home and I have had no problem with them. Hope this helps.
