    New Laptops with no OS preinstalled - License Question


    Hello,We already have Enterprise Licenses for Windows 10 in our organization, we deploy Windows either manually or via SCCM.Legal wise, is there a problem buying laptops with no OS then installing latest version of windows then applying our Enterprise license to it?Or must we buy the laptop with an already installed windows on it?

    New Hard Drive Licensing Question

    Currently user has Win10 PRO licensed.

    On a different laptop I want to install a new HD and build Win10 Pro using this users already used license.

    Question if user is on the road.

    I will build new OS install on new HD w/o activating.

    When user comes back to office -> How do I remove the license from his current OS build so I can re-used the license on the new build?

    Hi, sorry, no.

    The preinstalled license is most likely be OEM and not transferrable as the VM counts as a new device with its own hardware. You need two licenses, even if the OS license at the moment is retail.

    How to Install Licensed windows OS on a new PC having DOS

    I am having Lenovo G500 on which Licensed windows was pre installed. Now I am buying new laptop having DOS only. Please suggest how to deactivated OS from old and install on new one on which I am I am having DOS only. Please note I dnt have the CD but the
    key of licensed windows OS.

    Kindly help with complete procedure.
