How to save pictures, pdf's to OneDrive for Business / Sharepoint Online 2013 from WP8?

    Hi,

It seems like it is not possible to use sharepoint online / OneDrive for business as a storage location for any other files besides word and excel from within the Office app on a windows 8 phone.

I find this ridiculous and this requires a business user to have a seperate MS account with an additional OneDrive or dropbox app to store any other files besides excel and word directly to Onedrive for business / sharepoint online. Then use a pc to transfer
these files to the sharepoint location. I find this way very unproductive for business users.

The same problem within OneNote - you can only save to Onedrive (for personal use).

There needs to be a OneDrive for Business app that works outside of the Office app, that can be used like Onedrive (for personal use) or dropbox.

    Am I missing something?

Any changes that anyone knows off? Any workarounds?

When browsing the sharepoint site from a windows phone you can also not upload files as the upload button is greyed out on the mobile version of the site, works on the full version but you can't click on browse. (I assume because it does not know how to
browse the phone as well as pop ups that does not work from Internet Explorer on the windows phone - which is also ridiculous).

    Help Please!

  3. Backup Not Available

There is currently no way to do a full save/restore of your device.

That said, anything you sync with your Windows Live account will remain in the cloud and is easily be synced back to a new phone.

The same is true for Zune content, including any apps that you previously purchased via Zune. As an FYI, apps that you installed directly from your phone will have to be manually installed again.

As for documents, you can retrieve them from your Skydrive account but if you edit them, make comments etc then you need to email them back to yourself if you want a copy.

With Microsoft SharePoint Workspace Mobile, you can open, edit, and save Microsoft Office documents that are on a SharePoint 2010 site (a website that lets you and others share and collaborate on documents, projects, schedules, and ideas). You don't need
to download or install anything to start using SharePoint and Microsoft Office documents on your phone. SharePoint Workspace Mobile is part of Microsoft Office Mobile and is already there in the Office hub on your phone.

To access a SharePoint site using SharePoint Workspace Mobile from inside your organization, you'll need to set up a Wi-Fi connection that lets you access a SharePoint site on your company's network.
