Windows 10: New modifier icons on Windows 11 desktop

I recently upgraded to Windows 11, and now I see new modifier icons lower left corner on my desktop. These are applied to not only Microsoft but also third-party file types, like PDFs. I can't find any description of what any Windows modifiers mean. Is there some documentation available?

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.
