    Hi,

    So my son's old PSU died and so,decided to order a new one and do a budget upgrade too with a new motherboard Gigabyte A320M-S2H and a new Ryzen 3 3200G plus 16gb of RAM. All parts hopefully arriving over the next 48 hours.

    Presently,there is only one 1TB HDD with 2 partitions ( 30% &70 % ) with Windows 10 & numerous program files in C/ Drive and God knows what in D. Games I guess?

    So,is there anyway that I can do the rebuild and install the old version of Windows 10 without having to format all of C drive? Or will using a USB installation do the job? Due to the sudden demise of the PSU, I obviously couldn't back anything up.

    Although I have logged into my Microsoft account,his PC isn't not listed under devices and furthermore, the OS was originally a Windows 7 and bought via eBay some years ago.

    Any thoughts or advice welcome.

    Hello,

    I am downsizing my motherboard to a smaller form factor motherboard. Will my C drive Windows 10 Home software boot and work on the new motherboard?

    New motherboard does not recognise second optical drive

    I suggest for the sake of saving someone from asking that you list the components of your pc.
    I.e.
    Cpu,ram(type ,timing,quantity,) vga,psu,O.S. etc.

    It will likely help when troubleshooting.

    The more info the better, it can never hurt. Best of luck with your pc.

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
