Windows 10: New motherboard triggered bit locker. I never set this up.

I had a repair on my 2yr old dell. They had to replace the motherboard, and it triggered the bit locker screen. I never set this up, it was triggered buy the new motherboard., so, there is no key for me to find any where or attached to my Microsoft account.My husband who is a bit more tech savvy than me, has been trying to bypass the screen to find any code associated in order to unlock the screen.3 full days he's worked on this. I refuse to believe that I have to reformat and lose 1000s of photos, decades of data and 20 years of my medical history. Some at MS has to be able to help

• Have you created any system restore point on the computer prior to the issue?

I suggest you to manage the bit locker settings in the group policy settings by following the below link and check if it helps.

First before performing any changes in Bit locker settings, I suggest you to create System Restore point on the computer. So that we can restore back to previous Windows state if any issues occurs.

It's actually the Bios update that triggered the bit locker recovery event.
