Windows 10: new mp3 player needs usb driver update

Can someone tell me how to do this on my Dell laptop. just bought this shiny nice mp3 player - it has scant instructions and no website. it does say in the little manual that came with it - "if your computer does not recognize the mp3 player, try to update your usb driver". or try another usb cable. I did try another cable but that didn't work. thank you. It is a Berennis player - made in China - naturally. Thanks.

Set Boot up first to the drive with hiren bootcd 10.4

the options will pop out after loading the disc choose

then the list (step by step)

USB Drivers....
Load USB Drivers with no386.....

Ask you load cd drivers. NO
Ask you load SCSI drivers. NO
Ask you anything NO.
USB driver list comes out. 8 Don't choose anything else.

type
C:\ (that should be your mp3 player if you did it right)

atiflash -i
to list the adapters

atiflash -p -f 0 ???.bin

done.........

 

WIndows 10 doesn't recognize usb mp3 player

2. Are you aware of any changes being made to your PC?
   
3. Have you tried connecting the MP3 player to another PC?
   

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.



Method 1:



Run the USB diagnose tool to repair USB issues. Refer the article on
automatically diagnose and fix Windows USB problems.



Method 2:



Try updating the USB drivers.

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open
   Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run’.
   
2. In Run dialog box, type ‘devmgmt.msc’ and hit enter.
   
3. Go to ‘Universal Serial Bus controller’ and expand it.
   
4. Right click on the ‘USB root hub’ and click on
   update drivers.
   
5. Click on Search automatically for updated driver software.
   
6. Restart the PC after the updating of the drivers completes.

Eclipse MP3 Registering As An Unknown Source

1. How are you connecting the MP3 player?
   
2. Have you tried connecting the MP3 player to a different PC?
   
3. Which version of Windows 10 you are using currently?
   
4. What is the make and model of the PC?
   

If you are using a USB cable to connect the MP3 player, then I suggest you to use a different USB port and check if the MP3 player is getting detected by the PC.



However, you can try updating the chipset drivers to fix the issue.



Follow the steps mentioned below to update the drivers.

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run’.
2. In Run dialog box, type ‘devmgmt.msc’ and hit enter.
