    New Mspaint update is not showing dark mode


    Yes, as far as I know, the new MSPaint was supposed to have a dark mode but the new MSPaint is here and I can't see the dark mode.I just upgraded to windows 11 on 5th October. The new MSPaint app from the Microsoft store was supposed to feature a dark mode so can someone help me to enable it. Here is a screenshot.

    Dark mode shows white horizontal bar

    Dark mode has some issues in the latest feature update. The fixes that I know of (not sure if it would work for you)

    Try Restarting the explorer process in Task manager

    Re apply Dark mode after switching to light.

    If that does not help I would suggest you to roll back to 1803.

    New Mspaint update is not showing dark mode

    WinME and mspaint

    Here you are. This is the fileset you are looking for.
    Put it in a new folder on your desktop, run the .exe inside the folder and it will extract the full MSPaint application. You can run it from within the folder, no need to install or replace anything. Even though it shows as a Win95 file it is functional in every O.S I've tried it in up to and including XP Pro. Surprised noone has suggested trying to upgrade to Vista.
