  1. New nvme error on windows 11 your nvme go into raid state without activating it in the bios

my plan was to install windows 11 on the new nvme i bought just for gaming and when i installed it the great bootloader sent itself to the old nvme where windows 10 was on and shared the efi partition on both, i don't have raid enabled and I will have to download all the games and programs again only because of an installer error and I have been doing this since I was 11 and zero problems so far I already reported it to Microsoft and they told me that the problem is new and that it has happened to users who have more from one nvme drive you're going to have to reformat both nvme's because the boot files and efi partitions raid each other windows 11 is not yet ready to support the full potential of having multiple nvme's at the same time

NVMe found in BIOS but not by Windows 10 / Windows 11

I've seen similar posts scattered over the internet and no real solutions. The issue seems to be specific to AMD processors and respective motherboards. I've seen most posts related to MSI boards but I doubt it's limited to them.

    Scenario:

You install a second NVMe drive onto your motherboard, your BIOS sees the drive, but Windows does not in Device Manager or Disk Management.

I've done everything from messing around with the BIOS to buying a PCIe NVME Riser to make sure it wasn't a bad NVMe connection. I know my MSI x470 Gaming Plus board supports 2 drives, this was not related to a disabled SATA port, or a drive support/compatibility issue. Nothing worked and I refused to reinstall Windows as a solution (as I've seen in other posts recommending). After spending way too many hours on this problem, I finally found the solution to my specific issue and it's all related to the "AMD-RAID Bottom Device" Controller Drivers that the AMD chipset software installs. For whatever reason, this AMD driver and Windows do not get along. The solution is to change/update the driver to the Standard NVME controller that comes with Windows.

    Solution:

-Device Manager -> Storage Controllers -> Expand

-Find AMD-RAID Bottom Device -> Right Click -> Properties -> Driver -> Update Driver

-Browse From My Computer -> Let me pick from a list -> Select Standard NVM Express Controller -> Next

-Within 2 seconds, everything seems to be working without any issues.

Windows 10 Install - AMD NVMe RAID drivers

I am having issue with getting my NVMe RAID 0 array in Windows 10 install even though I am loading the driver.

The RAID 0 consists of 2 Samsung 970 PRO 512 GB NVMe drives, mounted on a Zenith Extreme motherboard flashed with the latest BIOS firmware. Used the latest download on Windows 10 ISO.

I set up my RAID 0 in the RAIDXpert2 Utility in the BIOS, everything looked good. I proceed with loading Windows 10 x64 Pro OS install, when I get to the drives, both NVMe's show up there.

I then proceed to load the rcbottom driver, it loads pretty fast, both NVMes dissapear ofc, then I proceed with loading the rcraid driver. It takes roughly 7 minutes to load and, to my surprise, no virtual drive is showing
after it finished. I figured that maybe it also needed the rccfg driver, which I load, and still no virtual drive. If I try loading rcraid a second time, I then get a blue screen on the Windows install.

I then installed Windows 10 on my 3rd 2TB 970 Evo NVMe. After installing RAIDXpert2, the drivers get installed, I then reboot and, surprise, the RAID0 virtual drive appears, so not really sure why it won't work during the
    Windows 10 Install.
