Windows 10: New Outlook stopped working after Windows Configuration Update KB5035942

Today my Dell got updated by Windows Configuration Update KB5035942.After that New Outlook won't start; app icon is present but does not show icon. The program won't start.Old Outlook has 'Try the new Outlook' option but that does not work.

While configuring outlook password windows disappears

Greetings, if the password windows disappears when configure your account, I suggest you try the follow steps to configure your Office 365 account in Outlook desktop client. in this way, there is no need to type in password in new pop up window.

1. Please right click on “Start” button > click
   search > type "Control Panel” in the search box.
2. Find and click the Mail > Click
   Show Profiles.
3. Click Add >
   type in a custom profile name > then type in your Office 365 account and password >
   Next > Finish.
4. Start your Outlook with this new profile.

If it still doesn't work, to better help you, may I know if you configure the Office 365 account or other account type in your Outlook desktop client? Meantime, please provide your detailed Outlook version for us.

Windows update KB5035942 installs every day

Thanks for your suggestions. I had previously tried the Troubleshooter and SFC & DISM steps. I read about Microsoft update KB5036567, which claims to fix issues related to KB5035942. I downloaded it from the Microsoft Catalog, and used the command dism /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:"CAB location" to install the update. The dism ran very quickly and indicated success. I restarted my PC but do not see KB5036567 in the update history list. So I'm not sure if I really installed the update, especially given how quickly the dism ran.

Since approx. mid-April 2024, the Windows configuration update (KB5035942) has appeared daily (current date) in the update history under "Other updates". Is this behavior normal and if so, why is it like this?
