  2. BSOD Bugcheck code 80 since Win10 upgrade

    Sorry there is no UPDATED DRIVER, so there is no need to update the driver.

    What I get is a Update that gives me a Black Screen of Death with no Cursor.

    I want to know why Windows does not allow me to revert the driver, but instead BSoD's the computer?

    Also why Windows 10 NEVER REPORTS THE ERROR?

  3. How to figure out what is causing Windows 11 BugChecks

    In the last few days my Windows 11 system has started to crash on a regular basis, and with various different BugCheck codes displayed on the BSOD, including:

    • SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
    • PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
    • IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    I have exported the BugCheck entries from the System event log, and have copied and zipped a couple of MEMORY.DMP files, but I have no idea how to figure out what is causing the crashes.

    Any suggestions are very welcome!

    Thanks

    Windows 10 2004 causing constant bugchecks (BSODs)

    On the 19th of August I was prompted for a new feature updated to Windows 10, version 2004.

    The update was successful however, after 5 minutes in the new version, Windows started crashing with 0x0000003b or 0x0000001a error codes.
    I tried checking for further updates but these kept on failing to download or install. At this point I started investigating the issue but soon found out that I had lost my Admin rights, so couldn't open Device Manager, Event Viewer, or any other system
    windows. When opening these applications I would get a User Account Control window with "An administrator has blocked you from running this app.". In the same window you could see the publisher being "Unknown".

    I tried running chkdsk, dfs and dism commands but caused more BSODs. After 2 failed attempts, I finally rolled back to previous Windows version, but still didn't have admin rights. After extensive reading on the internet (almost a week of it), the most common
    approach was to start from a clean installation of Windows. So I followed the suggestions.

    After a complete pc clean up and reinstallation, we are back to constant applications crashing and BSODs. I have installed latest graphics drivers (running NVIDIA).Below are some of the things I have observed:

    • Everytime an application, such as Firefox, Edge, VS Code, etc crashes, I noticed the following message in the event viewer:
    Code:
    Failed with 0x57 retrieving AppModel Runtime status for package Windows.
    • Just before VS Code crashed I noticed the UI, text and icons, getting blurry and drawn with bigger and bigger pixels. The browsers crashed sporadically when on YouTube, so I thought it might be related to a graphics. So I tried to trigger a crash by loading
      a video game, but that caused a crash only once, out of three attempts.
    • All BSODs, or Bug Checks, failed with one of the following:
    Code:
    The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was:
    [b]0x0000001a[/b] (0x0000000000041792, 0xfffff4811eb931b0, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: d2a43aee-73d6-48c1-93b9-af026ca1f280.The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was:

    • Search functionality in the start menu has crashed the machine twice;
    • Opening Powershell once caused a bug check;
    • Opening the Action Centre caused a bug check;
    • Plugging in a usb external harddisk caused a bug check (just my backed-up photos on it, no executables);
    • A few further updates, such as Security Intelligence definitions, took a few attempts before successfully installing.

    System details:

    • Processor: Intel i5-6600K
    • RAM: 16GB
    • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
    • Windows Version: 2004
    • OS Build 19041.508
    • Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.31.0

    Could you please help me with this and suggest my next steps. Also, let me know if you would like further information.

    I'm starting to get frustrated now as I haven't been able to use my PC reliably for almost a month. This has been getting in the way of my work as I'm currently working from home, so I'm hoping to getting it fixed as soon as possible.

    Thank you very much for you help.
