  1. New PC Build Experiencing Multiple BSOD occurrences

Hello,I recently completed building a new PC and have been experiencing BSODs. I would be able to start the system and start doing things, and then the system would crash. I have tried reinstalling windows, running memory tests both windows and memtest86, running image tests and repairs, checking drivers, etc. Things were pointing towards RAM, but after troubleshooting, it seems to pass all tests. The crashes were not all the same but they now seem to all be memory management crashes, although each one has been a slightly different kind of mem management crash. A common theme I noticed i

  2. Multiple BSOD on new Ryzen build

I had the same issue reported in this thread on my AMD Ryzen PC as well. I experienced multiple BSODs usually indicating Memory Management. I tried everything, but this is the only thing that worked for me:

In my ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS AM4 BIOS, I went to "Advanced" -> "AMD CBS" (near the bottom) -> "Global C-state Control" -> and set it to "Disabled".

    I haven't had a BSOD since.

This seems to be a major issue.

the choice to go with a i5 or i7 should reflect the rest of your system

a non k i5 on H motherboard will do the job well with a single 970 at 1080p

i7 is all about stepping up the res and using multiple gpu's.. if this is what you want then i would suggest 2 970's and the asus rog 1440p gsync.

  4. New PC Build Experiencing Multiple BSOD occurrences

Multiple BSOD on new Ryzen build

I also got a bunch of BSODs on my new Ryzen build:

    *most frequent* MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

    *second most frequent* IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

    ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY

    DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

I tried everything I could to troubleshoot. Turns out the culprits are not only Onedrive, but also Dropbox. Enabling either one will send my PC straight to BSOD at Windows startup. Do you think the windows update you mentioned also
    fixes dropbox?
