New PC build unstable running Directx12 possible hardware issue

I completed this build about a week ago but recently have started to notice instability when gaming. When playing World of Warcraft in DX12, the game will minimize every so often and sometimes the mouse cursor will go away. When trying Minecraft RTX, the screen will turn black and lose all textures on launch after a couple minutes: Here is an example running the RTX 3070 Other games have crashed as well but after longer play sessions, DX11 games seem to be more stable. Hopefully these errors show up in the DxDiag here

    The build in question:

    AMD Ryzen 5 5600x

    Nvidia RTX 3070 FE

Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite ATX MB rev1 bios F13a

    750W Seasonic Gold PSU

    32GB G.Skill DDR4 - 3600 CL18 RAM 4x8GB

Here is what I have done so far to troubleshoot:

    • Full windows 10 reinstall to latest version
    • Install latest AMD Chipset drivers
    • Install latest Nvidia drivers though GeForce Experience 461.40
    • Rollback to Nvidia driver 457.51
    • Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic no errors
    • Ran stress check to make sure Temps are fine max 74C GPU, 70C CPU
    • Disabling XMP
    • Underclock GPU
    • Run Latest stable bios version F12
    • Run Latest unstable bios version F13a
    • Running the RTX 3070 in a PCI3 slot
    • Running a GTX 1060 3GB in the PCI4 slot <--- video
    • Reseating RAM

It feels like I have exhausted all options and looking to narrow down what the problem is to possibly RMA something, but fingers crossed it doesn't come to that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    :)

    Microphone Issue

    Hi
    Mateviar,

Upon analyzing the details you have provided, it is possible that the issue is with the
    hardware
    or the
    device
itself. However, we need to make sure that is the case. To isolate this matter, we have some questions for you:

    • Were there any changes made before the issue occurred?

    • Have you tried using the microphone to another PC?

    • What are the troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

We suggest that you run the
Hardware and Device Troubleshooter. To run the
    Troubleshooter, follow these steps:

    • On the search bar, type
      Troubleshooting
      and hit
      Enter.

    • Choose
      Hardware and Sound.

    • Click on
      Hardware and Devices
      to run the
      Troubleshooter.

Update us on how it goes.

    Regards.

  3. is it possible to hand build a motherboard?

Might I suggest you simply build a computer, making notes and taking pictures step by step. Most people (probably including your teacher) have no idea even where to start building a computer. You'll do fine, and if you get stuck we're here to help ya out! *Toast :toast:

    PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
