  1. New Pc is reading **** active time 100%, crashes, and is very slow.

At first it was a constant 100%, I have turned sysmain off and have followed steps from multiple sources like turning startup programs off running sfc and ive recovered my pc. Sometimes its 100% on **** c and starts to use my disk d, now it hits 100 and drops but it happens a lot if I'm opening a game or the internet. Sometimes it completely shuts off my pc instantly and says i am missing something. I need some help.

    :)

  2. 100% hard disk active time in windows11.

I already did these type of steps like formatting whole hard disk then clean install windows 11 and didn't install any third party apps only apps were windows stock

But still facing 100% active time hard disk but my hard disk usage was only 2% or 3%. My pc gets slow whenever active time reaches 100% and most of the time active time is always 100%.

  3. Disk Activity at 100% with low Read/Write

Windows Version: 20H2 OS Build 19042.804

    Hey Everyone,

I recently updated from W7 to W10 and now my PC has been running very slow.

My disk usage is typically no higher than 40% however I am pretty much always at 100% active.

I have tried multiple things online; however I cannot figure out what is the cause.

    I tried
    1. Disabling search/superfetch
    2. Resetting page file
    3. Disk Check
    4. Disable Windows Update

    Any Help Is Appreciated! Thanks!

Very slow boot time - 100% disk active time

    Thanks for helping out.

Disabling fast startup made boot time MUCH WORSE ! (took like 4-5 minutes after logging into windows for disk activity to drop below 100%).

Also, a clean boot didn't help either but I could see that Bitdefender antivirus could not be disabled, so I went all the way and completely uninstalled it. This helped boot time (no 100% disk activity this time at all upon boot which is normal since nothing loads up on boot), but even the slightest task (like opening a single docx) makes disk activity go all the way up to 100% for a few seconds (4-5 sec), during which everything is laggy.

I managed to grab a screenshot of the resource monitor when the HDD was @ 100% (with Bitdefender still installed), and figured out that the disk goes to 100% with a Total (read/write) speed of 3 MB/s ! I don't know if that's normal... Also attached is the bottom part of CrystalDiskMark as requested

Running the /sfc scannow command gave showed no violations

Also, new CrystalDiskMark test, with no antivirus installed :

I am beginning to think that disk read/write/access speed is the reason behind all problems because, even after successfully booting into windows and the disk activity goes to normal levels, it still goes to 100% and the system becomes extremely laggy/slow even for the simplest of tasks...
