Windows 10: New PC not showing in Activation troubleshooter

I am trying to transfer my Windows 10 Pro license from my old PC to a new PC I have just built. However the new PC is not showing in the Windows activation troubleshooter. The 14 years old PC was Windows 7 originally, but I used the free upgrade to Windows 10 some time ago. The license on the old PC is a retail license, and I have confirmed this by running slmgs /dlv in Command Prompt which shows "RETAIL channel". It is also a digital license rather than a product key, as evidenced by going to Settings > Update and Security > Activation where it says "Windows is activated with a digit

Troubleshooting is not showing my new PC

Hello. I just recently changed hardware and wanted to reactivate windows on my new PC, but when i go to the troubleshooting setting, the PC i am trying to activate isn’t showing up. I am signed into my microsoft account on both PCs, but only the activated
one shows up.

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
