    New PC seems slow, why?

Hi Everyone, My neighbour has bought a brand new Dell Inspiron 3471 desktop:-

    https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/desk...sktop/cd347101

I went around there this morning to set it all up and it seems slow to me, I was installing Adobe reader and that seemed to take ages, any idea why?

Intel® Pentium® Gold Processor G5420 (4M Cache, up to 3.8 GHz) Is that a mobile CPU? Sometimes desktops have mobile / laptop CPU in them and that can cause it to be slow.

I guess a SSD might make things a bit faster but I'm not sure the expense.

Is there any software that I can use that will tell me why a PC is slow? Or is it down to benchmarks and comparing?

    Thanks

    Steve

    :)
