Windows 10: New pc (Windows 10), apps do not recognize camera anymore?

Hello, dears,

please help me. I'm trying to Skype a lot with my dad right now, but the computer broke down. So I bought a new one and continued with the laptop for a long time (I didn't have the idea to bridge the weak laptop webcam with the good one from Logitech).

Since two weeks the new pc is here and Skype does not recognize the webcam. I have already tried out a lot. The pc shows that it finds the camera and that all drivers are installed. The security department under settings says that programs can access the camera. Skype is allowed.

Skype itself says but there is no camera. Funnily enough the microphone that is inside the camera works. So I can hear my father.
After that I installed ICQ, with the same result. No camera, but the sound works.

The camera runs without problems when I connect it to my laptop (also Windows 10).

And lately a friend of mine has the same problem. He also has a Logitech camera and he had to reinstall Windows 10 on his pc.

Could you please help us (and please in a way that they understand?) Thank you!

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
