Windows 10: New PC won't recognise windows SSD

Discus and support New PC won't recognise windows SSD in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I've just built a new PC from scratch, but put in my old SSDs, one of which had my copy of windows 10 on there, but when I try to boot into the drive...     New PC won't recognise windows SSD


    I've just built a new PC from scratch, but put in my old SSDs, one of which had my copy of windows 10 on there, but when I try to boot into the drive it doesn't recognise it as a bootable drive with windows on it. Do I just start fresh with a flash drive?

    No it is not recognised in the BIOS.

    New PC won't recognise windows SSD

    ssd not recognised


    After update to Windows 10 Anniversary Update I now am getting same problem.

    SSD's not recognised. I tried running "winsat formal" from an elevated (admin) command as suggested by Word Man and done previously when I got this problem with no success.

    Any suggestions?
