Windows 10: New photo app upgrade issues

9/2/23 Why is the new photos app upgrade worse? 1I can not save an edit on a touch screen without using the pen. Touching save button doesn't work 2most recent and date taken is not correct 3after editing a photo it wants to save it under original jpeg file number, then says file already exist. So I have to add a number to save. The photos saved after editing end up scattered away from each other. Previously if you edited an image, it would save it as a -1, -2 etc. 3 clarity is gone 4the highlight and shadow correction isn't as strong as it was. That is Just a start. Terrible.

Thanks for replying spunk. That's the 'alphabetical' list I was referring to, none of these apps are in that 'All apps' list. Any more suggestions?

The Photos app brings together pictures from all your devices using OneDrive, so that you can browse them by date, album or folder. It also automatically enhances photos, and creates albums for you, to showcase your best shots.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

• Go to settings and system.
  
• Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.
  

Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

• Open the　Start　menu, type　Windows PowerShell　in the search bar.
  
• Right click on the　Windows　PowerShell　and select　Run as　administrator.
  
• Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
  

• 　　get-appxpackage　　*Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage

• Where exactly are you trying to create new albums?
• Are you referring to creating new albums in Photos app?
• Are you using any other application to view the photos?
