Windows 10: New Primary Alias but old one getting all billing emails

I have an old gmail that I used a long time ago and had created a profile to play xbox. I have since created a new email and made it my primary alias. However, when I get monthly billing emails, they go to my old gmail even though I have deleted it from my profile. How would I go about making sure that all billing emails go to my primary alias and not to my old one?

I am trying to delete that old gmail account, but I want to make sure that all emails I get from microsoft go to my current email and not my old one.

unable to make my email alias a primary - no primary link appears to the right of the alias

There is no primary link next to my email alias to allow me to make it a primary as noted in the instructions. Any ideas? I am using Windows 10 Pro (not available to click in the drop down)

• Under Account aliases, click/tap on the Make primary link to the right of an added email alias you want
  to be your primary alias.

Note: The email alias at the top of the list without a Make primary link is your current primary alias.

 

Microsoft Account Primary Alias now shows me logged in as old alias

Hi, not sure if this is the correct place for MS account issues

Over a month ago i created a new email alias for my MS account and made it the primary alias, and removed the sign-in option for all email aliases except my new primary one.

This has worked fine until this week, when going to look at my family settings on the MS account page no longer worked, neither did device settings, they both gave account errors and upon further inspection it currently showed me logged in under my old alias
email name. A lot of sites seem to take your current primary email alias as the login name and since my old one can't login they get stuck.

Now i have checked and i can only log in using my current new alias name, but when i do it shows me logged in under my old alias name.

Going into the security options instead of showing my new email alias as the primary one it shows the old one instead, effectively duplicating the entry, since the old one is also listed as an alias.

This means i cannot change the primary alias to try and fix the problem, neither can i make my old alias a sign-in option as the site thinks it somehow already is enabled.

I've no idea if anyone has had this happen before, at first i thought it might be a temporary display bug, but it's been like it for a few days, i tried speaking to someone but they couldn't fix it either. But there's quite a few things i can't do with my
account now as it's sort of stuck.

Outlook and Mobile devices keep sending from old Primary Alias, not current Primary Alias

I have contacted Microsoft support about this issue previously and they did nothing.

I use Outlook 2013 as my email client and I have an android phone and use its default client as the email client.

Both of these apps login to my Outlook.com email account using the username and password that is for the current Primary Alias.

I have several Alias on my account, including the old Primary Alias and the current Primary Alias.

I have gone into the "Manage how you sign in to Microsoft" page. It states that my "Current Alias" is the email address I want it to be. Upon the suggestion of the technical support person in Microsoft, I changed back to my old Alias and then to my current
Alias. This did not solve my problem.

However, my phone and the Outlook 2013 app continue to send email from my old Primary Alias. Even though, as I stated above, I login with my current Primary Alias credentials.

I have also tried deleting these profiles from my phone and from Outlook 2013, and this does not then repopulate with sending from the correct "from" address.

All I want to be able to do is send by default from my CURRENT PRIMARY ALIAS. Please.
