  1. New Removable Disks showing for no apparent reason

Hi, my computer has suddenly begun showing Removable Disks F:, G: and H: in File Explorer, which were not previously there, after my last restart. I have not plugged in any new devices, these have appeared randomly. They all appear to be empty, as clicking on any of them comes up with "Please insert a disc into Removable Disk F:" or the respective letter.I am wondering if I should be concerned about the security of my PC being compromised in some way, or is this likely just some Windows Update related change? What happens if I uninstall these Removable Disks, could that screw my PC up i

    diskpart doesn't show disk

    Hey,

I am trying to install Win10 on a mac book air.

However the diskpart does not list the disk even after reformatting the partition as NTFS per suggestion.

read through this solution but cannot move to step 1 listed in the solution by Ivan as that disk doesn't see that partition it was just able to reformat.

    Regards

GPT Reserved Partition showing as Local Disk

    Hi

I have a two laptops with Windows 10 x64. Recently I noticed new partition with next available letter. Size is 128mb and it can't be accessed. I checked in Disk Management but this partition is not listed there as per the below screen:

I used MiniTool Partition Wizard and managed to see details about this partition.

I tried Diskpart to remove Drive Letter but no luck:

This happened at the same time on my two HP laptops but not sure what could cause it. Maybe some Windows update? I do not remember installing any new apps. I would like to remove this disk from the list of available disks.

Can anyone suggest/advise how I can remove this from the list?

    Thanks

New Removable Disks showing for no apparent reason

    Can't safely remove external disk

In reference to the steps of your suggestions:

    • The issue is specific to the particular disk and it started after I've used the disk to save the System image backup (created with the Control Panel > File History tool).
    • I didn't disable any windows Service. I'm just wondering if there is any to disable.
    • Safe boot with networking, or clean boot doesn't resolve the issue.

    Thank you.
