    Windows 10 media creation tool can't find USB

    Yea. I also think the latest version is broken but there's more then one way to skin this cat

    Simple alternate solution: Use the Media Creation Tool to download an ISO file then create the bootable USB drive using Rufus

    • Run Rufus
    • Use the pull down menu for “Create a bootable disk using” and set to
      ISO Image
    • Click the DVD icon and browse to the Windows ISO file
    • Make certain Rufus is set to the correct drive letter for the USB drive before you overwrite!
    • Click Start and voila. You have a bootable USB drive you can use

    Installing Windows 10 using the media creation tool

    I downloaded the ISO and created a bootable USB drive by using Rufus and it installed just fine. Thank you Meatwad!
