    It is connected to an ASUS Notebook laptop.

    Seagate 2TB External HDD

    My Seagate 2T HDD external drive, files do not open. Tried 2 other laptops, it opens immediately. Both windows 10. I have also windows 10. Disk scan so no problems on laptops. Cannot get anything on my desktop computer. It stalls.

    I just purchased 2 Seagate 2TB external hard drives which I intend to use for storage of image files on my iPhone and

    iPad.

    I connected the USB cable to the XHD and my HP desktop computer but cannot find the XHD with Windows 10. Seagate is not listed. How do I find the XHD?

    Windows 10 Backup does not recognize Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB External Drive

    I did a test on my own computer and also a virtual machine, it turns out that the File History Service seems does no matter to the Backup feature, for my computer, this service is stopped by default and I can see my external HDD in the Windows Backup drive
    list.

    So I'll suggest trying to update your Seagate HDD's driver and update Windows 10 to the latest.
