  1. New Services and Tasks in Win 10

I guess, you mean MessagingService, you probably use something, that needs it, it does not start on mine. You can use:

    reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MessagingService" /v "Start" /t REG_DWORD /d "4" /f

  2. Dear TairikuOkami,
I have also implemented this last command, but it's same result like before.
At every start up these randomized services are started, see please image:

  3. Check registry, if Start is set to 4 on all. Maybe their names are in German, but that it is highly unlikely.

For the record, those are the only services, I have running.

I checked every single service; some of them had the start value 3 and I changed to 4, disabled, in the registry. But by new start the system randomized the name and the services are all again there, see please picture.

mariovalerio, I also use Chameleon Startup Manager and the same thing is happening to me after the Anniversary Update (boo! *Mad)

I sent Chameleon a message asking them to investigate this randomizing situation and to come up with a workaround. If I get a response, I'll try to post it here.

In post # 4, TairikuOkami showed some commands that suggested they could resolve this randomization problem. I'm about to try them, and will report back...

Well, mariovalerio, the results of those commands were mixed. On the down side, Chameleon Startup Manager reported pretty much the same bunch of randomized "new" startups. On the up side however, all of them showed up with Chameleon's "Enable" option underneath, which means that they were all automatically disabled! That was confirmed by bringing up the services list (services.msc), which also showed pretty much all of them were disabled (or at least not running).

To be frank, I didn't check things out exhaustively before running those commands that TairikuOkami posted. Thus, I'm not certain to what degree they helped (though I'm more than willing to credit them - Thanks TairikuOkami !)

I also applied a very, very few of the Windows 10 Tweaks from a batch file created and posted by TairikuOkami that I found in his/her sig. The main tweak I wanted (and used) was as follows:

Code: rem Remove Microsoft Synchronization Manager to prevent it from running at every startup (to restore run "sfc /scannow") taskkill /im mobsync.exe /f del "%WINDIR%\System32\mobsync.exe" /s /f /q[/quote]
Also, note that you might want to confirm that, in the Chameleon SM settings: Options -> Preferences -> Startup Manger that "Disable without warning self-added items that you used to disable manually" is checked (though I'm not certain that this is what's keeping those unwanted randomized startups disabled). There's also the "Disable new items automatically", which is something I'm going to start enabling from now on.

Finally, when you reboot and see all those Chameleon SM messages pop up, wait until the list is complete and then choose any one of them, right-click and select "Close All" -- unless, of course, there are some that are legitimate or if any of them give you the option to disable them (instead of enable).

    I hope this helps!

  7. I have checked all those services and the most of them were disabled, now they are all disabled ("start" in the registry set on "4").
In fact Chameleon Startup Manager asks if they have to be enabled, being them "new" (because of the randomized name) and disabled. Of course I push the button "close all", but this leave them only disabled, the services self aren't deleted. By next start up they are again there with a new randomized name and they will be added in the Chameleon list; after a while it becomes a very long list that you may delete with the option "remove" from Chameleon start up manager or by deleting the randomized services over regedit command.
    Finally: that's no real solution.
I tried to delete the services at all, which are started from .dll files by renaming these .dll files (for the case that something gets wrong), but Windows doesn't allow this, I tried on several ways and it's impossible to rename them.
I have a solution for renaming the .dll files, which I will try in the next days and which has worked out in another case, as I had a file which wasn't impossible to delete: using another, external OS.
Formerly, on another computer with disk drive, I used Knoppix, which worked very good, but now I have no disk drive and Knoppix is supposed to start from a CD/DVD.
Now I will try with Ubuntu from an USB drive, it shall work.
Once started from the USB drive, you browse until to find the .dll file and rename it (better to rename the extension, rather than the file name). And then restart from Windows.
If something gets wrong -> new start from USB drive and rename it as it was originally.

Let's see... I will report accordingly

  8. New Services and Tasks in Win 10

I forgot to address another item:
Using "disable new items automatically" in Chameleon Startup Manager is also no solution, because this will disable also new services coming with new installed programs. A part of this, "disabling" sets only the "start" option on "disabled" (i.e. on "4") but doesn't delete the service, so that the list of the randomized (and disabled) services becomes by every startup longer and longer.

  9. Hi Thanin,
Evgeni from Chamaleon Monitor has resolved the issue. I got a personal file from him but he is preparing an update of the application solving this issue.
I already tried it by myself and it works very good.
Check for updates in the next hours/days.
I am already happy with this.

    Best regards
