  1. new sounds in media added, but wont show up when trying to change program sounds to new...

I want to change all my sounds to the windows 7 sound effects, and so i downloaded mp3 files of the sounds, and I tried putting them all in the media folders, then I went to go change my sounds, but none of the newly imported sounds are there. I noticed that the preset sounds for windows 11 doesnt say its an mp3 file, or how much storage it takes, which really confuses me. I tried everything I could, but nothing seems to work.

    :)

  2. Adding new alarm sounds (not ringtones) for Mobile 5 PPC

I am having the same problem. Running windows mobile 5.0 on htc / t-mobile MDA. You can change all other sounds for MMS, phone ring, open, close programs, and do a search. The alarm clock function is set to a specific list of tones, and will not allow
you to search for new or added new tones. Specifically where is the alarm clock wav file directory located so I can add new custom files. thanks. Mike

    Change Sounds

Step 1 - Download the sounds you wish to hear to a folder on your hard drive. I suggest creating a sub-folder under music.

Step 2- Right-click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your screen and choose Sounds.

Step 3- Select a Program Event for which you wish to assign a sound.

Step 4 - Use the Browse button to browse to the folder you created.

Step 5 - Choose a sound for the Program Event.

CHANGING NEW MAIL SOUND(S) / ALERTS.....

Thank you so much for your response......

I did everything that you suggested - but when I got to picking the new sound, I clicked on the <browse> button and chose my sound (from the Microsoft Store App).

Then I tested it all by sending myself an email. Now I get no sound at all.

But the setup still shows my sound as the one to play.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks again......
