  1. New ssd won't boot up without old ssd attached to pc - new ssd only has one partition

Hi everyone,Have been looking around everywhere online on how to install/add a boot-partion MBR? online to this new ssd, but so far I can't find a solution that works for me. I really don't want to format this new ssd, as it would set me back a ton of time with all the installed programs and other data. Here is the problem: I installed a new ssd while the old ssd was still attached, installed windows 10 with a bootable usb via Rufus. All is going well, I'm using the pc for over a year now. But a couple of days ago, I wanted to remove the old ssd to use it in another pc and my pc doenst boot

    :)

New Windows 10 Installation on new SSD made old Windows 10 on Old SSD Unbootable

It looks like the new install (if you installed with both SSDs connected has updated the other partitions on Disk 1. This is why the old SSD won't boot and the new one won't boot on its own.

If you disconnect the old SSD then the new one won't boot, correct?

If you remove the new SSD can you repair the old SSD from the USB install media.

Then connect the new SSD and disconnect the old SSD and clean install again on the new SSD so it has its own EFI and recovery partitions.

I removed the new SSD but the old one still cannot be repaired by the USB install media.

New windows 10 installtion on New SSD - wont boot unless old SSD present

It seems you installed Windows while the both SSDs were connected. This would have caused your current problem. Maybe it is sufficient to do this:

    1. Launch the Disk Manager.
    2. Right-click drive C:, then mark it as "active".
    3. Shut down Windows
    4. Open the BIOS and tell it that the new SSD is the primary boot device.
    5. Disconnect the old SSD.
    6. Boot up normally.

If this does not work then you might have to do this:

    1. Disconnect the old SSD.
    2. Re-install Windows on the new SSD, using the Media Creation Tool.
