    New Trojan virus scam?

I got an audible message, not a pop up, stating I have a Trojan virus. It instructed me to call Microsoft. It DID NOT provide a phone number. It DID NOT provide a link. I am fully aware of scams that provide a phone number or link. This was not that. Has anyone experienced this?

    :)

New Trojan that Demands a Ransom

There is a new virus out there discovered by virus hunters known as "Cryzip". The Trojan encrypts your files and then demands a $300 ransom for the decryption password to get your files back. After encrypting the files, the virus leaves a nice step-by-step guide of how to go about paying the ransom off. It's supposedly spread through email Spam, and has successfully evaded anti-virus scanners.

    Trojan Scam

Had a pop-up come up on my PC with the following message "Security Warning! Found trojan on your PC" with instructions to call
****Removed phone number for security reasons**** for assistance. Can anyone confirm that this is a scam, and if so, should my first step be a forced shut-down of the PC?

***Personal information deleted for security reasons.***
