Windows 10: NEW UPDATE DESTROYED MY COMPUTER AND MICROSOFT ONLY MADE IT WORSE WHEN WILL THEY FIX IT?

immediately after installing the new windows update i started getting boxes and alerts about sticky keys and function keys> now i can"t type numbers and caps lock is reversed> the mouse doesn"t work correctly either> see the way i"m typing _ this is what you"ve done to my computer _ my livliehood> i spent two days with three microsoft agents trying to fix it> nothing worked and in fact they remoted in and KILLED THE ENTIRE SYSTEM> i spent another two days teaching myself how to recover my system> then i installed a clean copy of windows and the problem persists> micro

Vista SP1 Update Kills Computers, Microsoft Responds

Vista SP1 was recently handed out to some select testers, with mixed results. However, things took a turn for the worse when Microsoft tried to release one of the first updates to SP1. Update KB937287 will effectively freeze most computers caught trying to put it onboard. Most users who will get a problem don't see the issue until it is too late. There is a general consensus that users will see a certain "Configuring updates: stage 3 of 3 - 0% complete" error, and then get stuck in a reboot cycle. When Microsoft caught wind of this, they began an investigation. The report will determine how widespread the problem is, how to fix KB937287 and if this error can somehow be fixed. Until then, Microsoft has pulled the update before it can brick more computers. At this point, the best way to fix this is to stick in your Windows Vista install CD, and run System Restore from the CD. If you somehow manage to fix your PC, Microsoft urges that you turn off Windows Update until they sort out this whole mess.

Microsoft forced update destroyed my system.

A forced Microsoft update process, underway today without my knowledge when I shut down my up-til-then perfectly functioning Windows 10 tablet, has completely destroyed the Windows bootup. Automatic Recovery cannot fix it. There is no system restore point.
The system is mysteriously unable to reset the machine. The installation is, in effect, totally destroyed. The device cannot access wifi. My computer has been reduced to a flat brick. It is a refurbished tablet. I do not have media from which to reinstall.
The OEM installation discs are back at the computer store where I bought it, with the license key. Microsoft has left me in a worse state than if I had been hacked. On top of this, they provide no support whatsoever. I paid for the product. Microsoft destroyed
it. I am left holding my doodle. Microsoft says, apparently, tough ****. How is it possible 1/ that this rubbish can still happen, and 2/ Microsoft can still get away with it?

As to what I am now supposed to do, God only knows.

My question is...how do we avoid the updates? Updates are supposed to help our productivity not stifle it!!!
