Windows 10: New update occasionally stops video playback and stops audio from working.

sometimes spotify wont even let me play songs and sometimes it will play them without a sound

iTunes video sound stops working.

When I am watching any TV shows on iTunes, the sound goes crackly then stops working (like sound is on mute). This happens about 10 minutes into the show. It happens to all TV shows I've got. (This issue does NOT happen when playing songs). Please help.

Playing SD videos.

My computer:

• Windows 10
• HP 110 Desktop PC Series
• external audio (speakers) (Realtek HD Audio Manager)
• iTunes is current (12.4.2)
• All Microsoft updates are current.
• iTunes audio setting in "preferences": Windows Audio Session. Bitrate For Audio Playback: 48kHz. Bits per sample for audio playback: 24.
• Display Adapters: Intel(R) HD Graphics

Windows 10 - audio and video stops

After the latest Windows 10 update my audio and video playback stops working after anywhere between 2-4 hours.

I'll be playing music or watching something online and it just freezes and will not play at all until I restart my computer. ive run trouble shooter on all things to do with audio and video playback and have come up with nothing.

Is this just a bug for some people with the latest update or is something wrong with settings??

1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

I suggest you to update the Display adapters driver from the Device Manager and check if it works.

Follow the below steps:

1. Press Windows + R on the Keyboard.

2. Type in devmgmt.msc and click on Ok.

3. Select the Graphic driver from the list by extending Display adapters.

4. Right click on the Graphic driver and click on Update driver Software.
