Windows 10: New update package on Windows Update for PC build 10240 today

this doesn't seem to actually be a screen recorder, but an app recorder. doesn't work without an app opened. but i can record browser actions. if all apps are closed, it will not even appear after hitting win key + g.

 

I think it's Winkey+Alt+G

 

Looks like its part of Xbox app because of the more settings in Xbox. This is all part of how WinRT apps work in conjunction of one another.

My old graphics won't allow me to record. Coincidently I started looking for a card just tonight to upgrade.

 

I've been getting quite a bit of defender updates and I got one more this morning. Seems that MS is catching up with the updates since we're close the 29th.

 

I find it strange that my Microsoft Lifecam Cinema camera works with Linux but not Windows.
On the MS Insider website I provided the exact message and error code from the camera but the MS rep said they could not help unless I provided a screenshot of the error code. Why is that?

yes, there must be a program, not only open, but active, meaning if you have a browser open, but minimized, it still doesn't work. you have to have it actively open, then it will work.

 

I got this update, too. I got it a couple of minutes ago, since I've installed build 10240 today only, like six hours ago.

It has a slightly different number though. Is it the same as the one you got?
