Windows 10: New update reintroduce low battery bug?

Hi all,

Since updating a couple of days ago I've gotten what appears to be a bug that I would get before that went away after the previous update. My desktop is plugged into a UPS and I randomly get a "very low battery please plug in your PC" warning notification even though it is plugged in and the battery back up stays at 100% since I'm never on battery power (except a power outage that hasn't happened fortunately). It seems to happen more frequently now as well. I'm wondering first off is this actually just a bug (seems to be from Googling but haven't found a fix) or should I be concerned about my battery backup setup even though it is only 2 months old. If it is a bug how can I fix it? It gets annoying repeatedly popping up and causing me to not be able to do anything until its closed in the middle of gaming. Thanks everyone!

low battery alarm

We suggest that you check if the low battery notification is turned
on. Kindly follow these steps:

• On the search box, type Power Options to see the laptop's power plans.
• Click on Change Plan Settings.
• Click on the Change Advanced Power Settings.
• Scroll down and look for Battery.
• Expand it see Low battery notification, turn it on for both
  On battery and Plugged in.

No low battery notif + abrupt shutdown

Window 10 - No warning for low battery.

Hi William,

Your concern about the low battery notification on your device can be facilitated by the Power Options section of Windows. To check if Low battery notification is activated, we'd recommend performing the following:

• Search and launch Control Panel using Cortana.
• In the Search Control Panel box, type Power Options.
• Click on Edit power plan.
• Locate and click Change advanced power settings.
• Locate and collapse the Battery category.
• Locate and collapse Low battery notification.
• On battery must be tagged as On.
• If it's already on, locate and increase Low battery level to at least 10%.
