Windows 10: New Updates for Surface Laptop - July 25, 2018

On July 25th we released updates for Surface Laptop devices running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update version 1709 or greater to Windows Update. These updates are now available in MSI format on the Microsoft Download Center from the following links:

These updates provide improvements to system stability and reliability, and resolve potential security vulnerabilities including Microsoft security advisory ADV180012 and ADV180013.

Update for Surface Laptop - February 28, 2018

Today we've released a new firmware update for Surface Laptop. This update includes new firmware for Surface System Aggregator Firmware which improves battery reliability.

This update is available in MSI format from the Surface Laptop Drivers and Firmware page at the Microsoft Download Center. Click Download to download the following files:

SurfaceLaptop_Win10_15063_1802008_1.msi

For your reference, here is the driver version that is updated in this release and the improvement it provides:

New Update for Surface Laptop on Windows 10 April 2018 v1803 - May 10

Updates for Surface Laptop are installed automatically through Windows Update. Here’s a summary of what’s been included in each one so far.

For more info about Windows Update, including how to see which updates you have and learn how to install them yourself, see Install Surface and Windows updates.

Notes

When you install the latest update, you'll also get all the previous updates if your Surface doesn't have them already. Only updates that apply to Surface will be downloaded and installed.

If you update the operating system on your Surface, your update history will be cleared.

Firmware updates can’t be uninstalled or reverted to an earlier version.

Updates are released in stages – not every Surface will receive the update at the same time, but it’ll be delivered to all devices. If you haven’t received an update, select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & security > Windows Update.

Update for Surface Studio - May 4, 2018

Update (25 May 2018): This update to the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows for Surface Studio has been temporarily removed from the Microsoft Download Center and paused on Windows Update while we investigate a possible issue.

We’ve released a new update for Surface Studio devices with Windows 10 Version 1709 and above. This update includes a new driver for the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows that improves reliability of the Xbox Wireless Adapter.

This update is available in MSI format from the Surface Studio Drivers and Firmware page at the Microsoft Download Center. Click Download to download the following file:
