New updates potentially causing me trouble.

    Hey there,

Yesterday I installed the latest updates which came out around 10 or 11th August according to my research. After installing these updates, my browser (Avast Secure Browser - never gave me any problems) logs me out of everything, every website.

The problem is not coming from cookies and I do not have the 'Clear cookies on exit' enabled. The cookies are still there but I am just logged out of everything just as if you are in stealth/incognito mode.

I have tried reinstalling browser and even changing it. Tried out the same process with Google Chrome and the same stuff happened.

I have around 5 emails so you can imagine how much of a pain it can be to log in everytime.

The problem seems to occur when I restart my PC or sometimes when restarting my browser.

    Any solutions please?

Intel E5200 Gets Updated, R0 Stepping Coming Up

Intel's Pentium Dual-Core E5200 processor is getting on course for a specifications update. The chip will feature in a new, improved Wolfdale-2M core, spec'd out as the R0 stepping, from its current M0 stepping. The new stepping is intended to add new instructions, power-management features, and bring about changes in the chip-package. A short list of known changes is as follows:
    • CPUID changed from 10677 to 1067A
    • Power State Indicator (PSI) support with Intel 4 series chipsets
    • New instructions - XSAVE and XRSTOR
    • New S-spec and MM numbers
    • New halide-free chip package
Due to the changed CPUID, users may require BIOS updates to detect the CPU. According to the company, E5200 R0 should be out by April 13.

Potential to update bios based off manufacturer vs supplier

You can only go 1 additional step up... see the list in the above post on supported processors.

That's as future proof as you can get on that motherboard...see 95W max.*Smile New updates potentially causing me trouble. :)

Motherboard is about 2 years old and most likely will not get another bios update....so any other processors will not be supported.

There are physical limitations to what any motherboard can support so the 95W max is important. You can't put a 125W CPU in... it won't work.

HP would like you to BUY a NEW system. They are sales oriented and discontinue product almost as soon as it's made.

New updates potentially causing me trouble.

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond New updates potentially causing me trouble. :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
