Windows 10: New USB Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop

Hi, I have the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop keyboard, mouse but unfortunately the USB that I left in my laptop broke off so it doesn't work anymore. Is it possible to get only a new USB or is it impossible to reconnect that to my mouse and keyboard?In other words: are my mouse and keyboard now useless without USB?Thanks for you help.

I suggest you to get in touch with the Microsoft Hardware
Support to know about the replacement criteria. Meanwhile, you may also go through the
Warranty Limit Manual given under Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop.

We understand the concern as you are facing difficulties in connecting the
Sculpt ergonomic desktop set on the new PC.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 currently installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?

Meanwhile we would suggest you to update driver
and check.

1. Connect the Sculpt ergonomic desktop set
   
2. Press Windows + X key
   and select Device Manager from the context menu.
   
3. Spot and expand the “Universal Serial Bus controllers”.
   
4. Right click on the USB Composite Device driver and select
   “Update driver”
   
5. Select Search automatically for drivers. Follow the onscreen steps
   
6. Restart the PC and check.
   

We would also suggest you to refer the methods as mentioned in these articles:

I would suggest that you download the Mouse and Keyboard Center 11. You can use it to connect and configure the Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop with your PC.
