Windows 10: New user unable to log in with work email address on Windows 11 laptop

I have a new staff member with a new Lenovo laptop Windows 11 Pro. I have created their account in the M365 Admin Centre, and have provided a license for M365 Business Premium. The user's email is our bunsiness email address eg *** Email address is removed for privacy ***However, when they try to log in to the laptop for the first time, they receive an error which Google suggests is an Intune enrolment issue.The error is:"Something went wrong. It looks like we can't connect to the URL for your organization's MDM terms of use. Try again, or contact your system administrator with the problem information from this p

We understand how difficult it could be and we appreciate the time and effort that you have taken to work this issue. However, in order to get clarity, we would need some more information regarding the issue.

1. Were you using the “Old email (account) address” regardless of not using laptop?
   
2. Are both the email addresses linked?
   
3. Could you please let us know, where exactly you get prompt for the password for the “Old email address” in the desktop?
   
4. What is the exact error message you get when you try to log in to laptop?
   
5. Does your desktop has two user profiles?
   

In the meantime, we would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check.



You would need to have internet connection in laptop, so that the password change could get updated and it seems that the laptop is not connected to the internet, we would suggest you to connect Ethernet cable to laptop and then
try logging in to the laptop with the new password for the old email address.

Email address changed from .co.uk to .com and unable to log-in to the laptop

As you are facing issues with accessing the device which is stuck at the lock screen with incorrect email address, do not worry we will help you with this issue.

Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the complete error message/ error code of this issue?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• Do you have different user account on your device?

If you have different user account on your device, I suggest you to log-in with that account, remove the user account you are facing issues with, re-add and check if it helps.

  Press Windows key + X the keyboard click
  Control Panel
  
• 
  Click on User accounts and on
  Manage another account
  
• 
  Click the user account you are facing issues with and click on
  Delete the account. (Check if you have this option)
  

Try the below steps to add the user account on your device and check if the issue persists.

Follow:

• Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on
  Control Panel.
• Select User Accounts, click on Manage another account.
• Select Add a new user in PC settings, click on
  Add someone else to this PC and follow onscreen instructions.

Unable to log into laptop after changing password.

1. Yes, I was using the old email address, regardless of using the old laptop
   
2. Yes, both emails are linked since I did not want to miss any emails that were going to my old email address and the sender was still using my old email address and was unaware o my new email address.
   
3. When I open up my laptop, the prompt comes up to put in my password. It is asking for the password for my old email account (That is the email address that is displayed on my laptop along with my name).
   
4. The error message that comes up is "That password is incorrect. Make sure you're using the password for your Microsoft account. You can always reset it at account.live.com/password/reset.
   
5. Yes, my desktop has two user profiles.
   

When I log into the account.live.com to change my password for the old email address, it allows me to change the old email address, but then you keep seeing the new email address come up as well.

I have tried to merge the two email addresses, but it seems that I am unable to do so.
