Windows 10: New Version of Windows 10

HELP!

I have been alerted that my present version of windows 10 version 1905 will soon not be supported. Tried to load new version, something like version 20H something but it fails. Get continual attempts at collecting errors and restart to no success. It went into disc error fix maybe up to 6 times. In disc fix it goes to 100% complete and then the small revolving circle just continues to revolve. After an hour or so had to shut down and restart. Tried the diagnostics but no help. Spent entire day with maybe 40 restarts. Got up to what looked like success but it again after a time went to the collecting error mode with a restart and got further away from the previous what looked like success. Was able to get into SAFE mode and have gone back to previous version. My computer is a 64 bit Dell Latitude E5540.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
