New Wi-Fi Adapters Cause DPC_Watchdog_Violation BSoDs at Random

Hi, for the past few months I have been trying to upgrade the Wi-Fi USB Adapter for my Windows 10 computer, but no matter which model I have tried, no matter which drivers or driver versions I install, no matter how many times I run chkdsk, sfc /scannow or DISM etc., the device will BSoD showing "DPC_Watchdog_Violation".I first tried a TP-Link Archer A3U Plus, to no avail. I had this replaced and ordered the same product, only for it to not work. I am now currently trying the Realtek 8812BU USB NIC, which has the same issue. This leads me to believe that this is an issue with Windows itself.Cra

Windows 10 stop automatically connecting to random new wi-fi networks

    Hi,

I have searched a lot, but all the tutorials I found only explained how to not connect automatically to a known wi-fi network or how to disable wi-fi sense... but this is not what I am looking for...

    PROBLEM:

    • When my laptop (Windows 10 Pro X64) is not connected to a network and the wireless adapter is on, it will automatically connect to any random new unsecured wi-fi network... The only way I have now to avoid this is to disable my wi-fi adapter.

UNUSEFUL TUTORIALS I FOUND ON THE INTERNET:

    • How to manually uncheck the option for a particular wi-fi network not to connect automatically in Network Properties. This is not what I am looking for. This would suggest that everytime I power my computer. I would have to manually go through all the available wi-fi networks and unclick them all...
    • How to disable Wi-Fi Sense. This is not useful, because I don't even have a Wi-Fi sense option in my computer where the tutorials say it should be.

    EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

    • I am looking for an option to tell my computer to stop connecting randomly to unknown wi-fi networks like an hyperactive, reckless idiot.

    PERSONAL COMMENT:

    • Honestly, why would any respectable company think that it could be somewhat wise or secure to do this... Anyone's computer could just randomly connect to any hacker's wi-fi network without the user even knowing it...

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    USB Wi-Fi Adapter Disabling

Is it on Windows 8's compatibility list (check MS website- forgot link)?

I had an issue with one Wi-fi adapter and it wasn't listed as compatible- All was well when I swapped it out with one on the compatibility list

New Wi-Fi Adapters Cause DPC_Watchdog_Violation BSoDs at Random

    Virtual Wi-fi Adapter

Hi, I'm using my laptop as a second screen for my desktop. (by pressing win + p) For some reason, this feature is only available in Windows if your desktop has a wi-fi adapter. Funny thing is, that after I connect to my laptop with wi-fi, I can remove the adapter and it still works. I just managed to brake my adapter, so I was thinking if I can create a virtual wi-fi adapter somehow just to enable this option. Any suggestions?
