Windows 10: New wifi connection, Epson printer won't print!

I'm using a Lenovo ideapad 320 and have an Epson Stylus Office BX630FW running Windows 10.


I've just changed to a new personal mifi box and can't get the printer to work. Both the laptop and the printer are connected to the same network and I've tried reinstalling the printer, stopping & starting the print spooler etc. The troubleshooter doesn't come up with anything.


I remember having the same issue last time I changed to a new box and the fix when I finally found it was quite straightforward. It involved typing something into the command line, but despite searching for ages I can't find the information again :-

Epson print cd

Normally yes, but PrintCD is an application for Epson printers to print on CD/DVD. It's not available on Epson's site.

I have got myself in a right pickle!

• my printer (XP540) went offline (again)
• I tried to remove and reinstall it
• I have ended up (after three phone calls to epson) with new printer drivers, reinstalled printer, but it won't even print a test page.
• i have tried connecting it with a usb instead of the wifi connection (which said it was ok)
• how do get both the computer and the printer to ignore the wifi and use the usb? Would this help?
• i have tried epson and windows troubleshooters but they don't work. The windows troubleshooter thinks that the blocked print queue is the problem, but it is a consequence of the problem, and not the problem itself.

I have wasted a whole day on this problem and I really need to be able to print resources for my job - and I can't!

H RCoon I done the wifi setup on the printer and the printer will print out a test sheet but when I try to print from the pc the printer page just sits there with 0 of 0 printing, when I go into printers and devices there is an exclamation mark on the printer I double clicked the printer icon and now there is a tick on it but it still wont print and when I run the troubleshooter attached to the printer it says restarting the spooler device. I never had this problem before usually once I use the disc it works with no problem. how do I check to see if the printer is connected to the router. I just tried it from my phone and it is printing with no problems.
