Windows 10: New Win 11 can’t find Windows Backup from Win 10 PC

I just got a new laptop and wanted to set it up and it suggested I use Windows Backup to transfer my settings. I ran the app on my old Windows 10 computer and the backup was successful, but partial folders are not backed up and apps are partially backed up and that is ok I can do this manually. But once it’s done I click on my new pc to find Backup obviously logged in with the same account but it says “Couldn’t find backup, try again”. I ran the backup twice, made sure my infos were good in my account and all sync settings are on, waited a few hours and it still doesn’t work. Am I missing

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be getting new MB and CPU when I move to Win11. And I always do system volume image backups after I successfully update Windows so no problem there *Smile. Cheers!

I suggest you do a drive image backup of your current win 10 drive. I had some issues with Win 11 and I roll back using the Win10 image. As you don't have a Win 11 supported CPU, you have to tweak the Win 11 installation files. Backup from Win 10 old laptop restore to new Win11 laptop

I want to buy a new laptop with win 11. QUESTION: Can I do a backup from my old win10 laptop and THEN restore into my new win 11 laptop? Could you please give all the steps? Thank you from friends.
