  1. New Win10 installation very slow when logging in / waking up from sleep

Fresh SSD, fresh win10 installation. Only a couple programs installed: iTunes, Dropbox and a game. I've got the Startup configured so that the game starts up right when I log in.

With the previous SSD, I had Windows 7 installed on it, and when starting up and logging in, the game would load fast immediately after logging in. Everything was super fast to load. But on this new SSD with Win10, it's super slow after startup and I can't figure out why. The game takes 30+ seconds to load, when normally it takes less than 5.

I thought I could get around this by using Sleep mode instead, but no, even when I use Sleep mode and then wake the computer up, the game still loads super slow if I try to open it right away.

I went into Startup settings and disabled everything that I could (there wasn't much), but that didn't change anything. No idea what's causing it to be so slow at startup, especially when it should be FASTER, since the old SSD was really old and crappy, while this new one is...not old, and not crappy. 2. wake from sleep issue in windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

    • Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type the command line below:
    Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

    3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

    Hope the information is helpful.

  4. New Win10 installation very slow when logging in / waking up from sleep

PC Slow to Wake from Sleep

Before we proceed, we would like to know if this is the first time that you encountered this concern? As per the result that we got, it shows that there is an insufficient RAM/memory which is the reason why the computer is slow when waking up from a sleep.
We suggest that you increase the RAM/memory of the computer or contact the computer's manufacturer to ask any suggestions on how to improve it's performance.

    Regards.
