    new win10 ISO available?

I have experienced a few minor glitches when installing the "free" win10 update which were all resolved. Now the anniversary update is causing me grief...it keeps failing and win10 keeps insisting on reinstalling it, about a dozen times already.
What I would really like to do is to format the C drive and completely start over which I realize is a brute force approach but It might help the occasional remaining glitch that I still experience. I would be starting completely fresh and get all of the updates installed before I begin to install any of my apps and tailor it to my tastes and I do know a lot more about win10 now than when I first installed it.

To that end I was wondering if there was a new ISO I could download that might include some of the updates already released or at least be a newer build which might allow the anniversary update to properly install.

If I did download a new ISO, would it install OK if I have already removed win7?

Any feedback would be much appreciated

    :)

  2. Can I clean install Windows 10 from a Windows 10 ISO.

I understand it's tied to device, but what if I abandon that old device and use ISO for a New device. Will Win10 ISO recognize the Product Key and validate on new device(Machine)?

  3. Will I be able to preform a fresh install of Win10 with my free upgrade?

I want to know if an ISO image of Win10 will be available to people who reserved their copy of Win10.

Also during the installation will I use my existing Win7 key or will I receive a new Win10 key?

    new win10 ISO available?

The official iso currently installs the base release version of build 14393, and then you just update it to get latest updates. It does not take that long due to the new cumulative upgrade model. Eventually MS may update the release iso but it still will download the latest cumulative updates, and so does not save that much time (a bit less as less new updates to actually install) but the bulk of the time is the downloading, not the installing.

Yes, it should be activated automatically. Click the "I don't have a product key" link at the bottom of the page during install when it asks for a product key. It is a very good idea to make sure that you log in with a Microsoft Account on your current installation and look at the activation tab of the Settings, Updates and Security panel to verify that your current Windows 10 is activated with a digital entitlement/license. You probably won't see it linked to your Microsoft Account because you don't have the Anniversary Edition installed yet but if activation says Digital Entitlement or License it should be stored on Microsoft Activation servers with your matching Hardware ID anyway and then be retrieved automatically when you do the new install of Windows 10.

Yes, the .iso is the full install media, not just an upgrade. You can even use it to do a clean install to an empty disk, you don't need any previous OS to be able to install it. You will however need something to boot from to be able to start the setup. If you use the Media Creation Tool you can make bootable USB media.

If you choose to download the .iso you can mount that from within Windows and run Setup from there. As has already been said, you don't need to give a key as you should already have a digital entitlement/licence.

You cannot do a clean install from a mounted ISO file. A clean install can only be done by booting the computer from a Windows 10 installation USB flash drive or DVD. The only exception is to boot the computer from a USB flash drive or DVD containing a Windows PE environment, such as Kyhi's recovery drive. In Windows PE booted from a USB flash drive or DVD you can mount a Windows 10 ISO file and do a clean install.

    new win10 ISO available?

I stand corrected. I prefer to make the USB media anyway, so I've not tried the .iso route. I suppose at a pinch you could mount an iso, do an upgrade the do the 'reset this PC' but a clean install from the correct media would be best approach.
