Windows 10: New Win11 user: problems

I just "up"graded to Win11 and struggling with problems. 1 I have two Chrome windows open but only one shows on the taskbar, or even when I cycle through apps/windows by Alt+tab. I cannot choose which of the two to activate, Win11 switches between the two arbitrarily for no apparent reason. 2 The new Paint has a nice new feature rotation by a precise angle, but I cannot use it because the fill bucket tool behaves as if it is disabled.

Win11 upgrade not coming

If you checked again my previous replies, you can see ASUS re-installed my new notebook a even newer Win10 Home installation. After this 2nd time installation, I only did these to the toy:

1. installed chrome
   
2. changed its display brightness
   
3. changed wallpaper
   

After your previous suggestion, the 1 month temp McAfee was gone.

I can't figure out why I can't upgrade to Win11 for such a new notebook. Newer notebook will come with Win11 natively

 

New Account/User Issues

Hi,

When you create a new user account, Windows uses the Default user profile as a template to construct the files for the newly created user account. You might be experiencing issues creating new accounts due to a corrupt Default profile. To
resolve the issue, we suggest reinstating the Default folder in the
Users directory by following these steps:

• Log in as an administrator.
• Open the C:\Users folder using Windows Explorer.
• Rename the Default user profile folder to Default.OLD.
• Download a zip of C:\Users\Default from a Windows 10 installation that doesn't have this problem.
  
• Unzip the non-corrupt Default profile into C:\Users.
• Try logging in to the new user account and check if the problem is resolved.

Current active users that are friends

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.
