Windows 10: New Windows 10 Build 17672 now available for Fast Ring Insiders

Microsoft today released a new Windows 10 Insider Build 17672 for Fast Ring Insiders. The latest build comes with some new features from the Redstone 5 development branch. This is the build which is being released by Microsoft after the previous build which was a major one with many new features to be tested by Insiders.

The latest build comes with a minor new feature which is related to the Windows Security Improvements. The Windows Security Center will now require antivirus product to run as a protected process.

Microsoft also confirmed that the Windows Defender Antivirus will however remain enabled with the antivirus products. The users have also been given the option to disable the new behavior if they like in the latest build by creating the below registry key and reboot the device.

“HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\Feature
DisableAvCheck (DWORD) = 1 “

The latest build can be termed as a a minor one as compared to the previous Insider build 17666 which contained many new features like Improvements to Sets, Dark Theme introduction for File Explorer, introducing Fluent Design elements to Sets and more.

Microsoft also introduced the most awaited Clipboard feature with the previous build. With the Clipboard feature, users will be able to pin the items from the clipboard apart from being able to directly paste from the clipboard history.

The new clipboard experience in Windows 10 is powered by Microsoft’s cloud technology letting you access your clipboard across any PC. Users would need to enable this feature by going to Settings > System > Clipboard. The clipboard history supports plain text, HTML and images which are less than 1MB in size.

We expect Microsoft to include many new features from the Redstone 5 development branch to be tested by Fast Ring Insiders before rolling out the public update globally by end of this year.

What is the latest windows insider fast ring build for Lumia 535?

What is the latest windows insider fast ring build for Lumia 535? I am on the insider fast ring on my lumia 535 dual sim. The OS build is 10586.107 and checking for updates shows 'Your device is up to date'. Even the official release of windows 10 is build
10586.164 why I am not able to get further updates in fast ring? In the insiders blog it shows for fast ring build
14291 is available, but I am not able to update to it. Why?

 

No Longer able to receive new Insider Builds on Fast Ring

Been involved in the insider program since last year. I have been receiving the new build as they were release by Windows update/fast ring no problem. Now windows update does update as supposed to but am not able to get any new builds. Have had this
problem now from build 10525 and now today 10532. Any known fixes? Thanks
