Windows 10: New Windows 10 Installation Crashes - Mainly with "IRQL Not Less or Equal Error"

Hi all,


I have a brand-new W10 intallation, in a pretty old PC from the hardware POV.

After i finished with installing the basic apps (e.g. MS Office, media players, download managers, file sharing apps, Skype) the PC keeps crashing (from 1-2 to 6-7 times per day).


The most usual error appearing on the "blue screen of death" is "IRQL Not Less or Equal Error".

However, there is not a lack of additional errors.


I have followed the instructions from some old discussion threads and created a couple of dump files. They can be found in the link below:

My computer continually crashes and provides the error 'IRQL Not less or Equal Error'.

After doing some internet searching I came across tfunders question (Windows 10 crashing on IRQL Not less or Equal Error) and have followed the link and

BSOD - IRQL Not Less or Equal Error

I've been getting BSODs every few days recently with IRQL Not Less or Equal errors. Following the procedures

from this Microsoft Answer, I ran Driver Verifier. I got repeated BSODs at that point (with no .sys file listed in the error, unfortunately), and had to restore from a System Restore point to get back into Windows.
