Windows 10: New Windows 10 Laptop keeps asking to log in when restarting after unchecking not to ask

I did a search and it said to Right click start, click Command PromptAdmintype in netplwiz in hit enter , and uncheck the box that asks to ask for password and log in ..... I shut down my laptop and it asks again , I rechecked and it was still unchecked , so why is it asking ?? ... I

Ask Toolbar gets the banhammer on Windows


In other news Ask Toolbar has been rebranded and redistributed as You asked for it toolbar. They will try to figure a way around the block.

I can remember when my step daughter got her first laptop. It didn't take long before there were a dozen or more toolbars in IE. She just assumed you had to accept the extras to get program X. She would just blindly keep clicking next etc to get her program installed as quick as possible. These types of drive by's count on that. *Mad For most of us here, its just an inconvenience to watch out for it and uncheck the boxes.

 

Windows 10 is asking for a password even though the option is unchecked

I unchecked the option to have Windows 10 ask for a password. It worked for a day or two but now it's requiring a password again upon waking up or rebooting--even though the option is still unchecked. I made a registry change that was suggested and it has not worked. How can I get Windows 10 to stop ignoring my changes?

 

Outlook 2013 Keeps asking for password to log in to AOL

Microsoft Outlook 2013 keeps asking for the password to log in to AOL mail. I connect to AOL.COM using an IMAP connection. Now it keeps asking for the password. It has done this repeatedly in the last 2 weeks. I have tried every
suggestion I can find on the internet to cure the problem. The only way I can fix it (temporarily) is to delete the AOL account and rebuild it. This, of course, also deletes all the locally stored mail as well as my address book.

I have rebuilt the profile 3 or 4 times over the last 2 weeks and after I shut down the machine and re-start it, I again lose the ability to log in to AOL....it again continually asks for the password.

The Credentials Manager in the control panel does not mention Outlook anywhere.

I would appreciate any new suggestions on how to make it accept my password and log in. Or perhaps to get AOL to connect with a POP3 connection.
