Windows 10: New Windows 11 HP computer -- it got Locked with BitLocker and I never set up Recovery Key?

Hi,I got a new Windows 11 HP computer. I changed the Bios to have a boot from USB as first option. Now on reboot it's BitLocked and I never set up a recovery key. I went to the hotmail account that I used on intial system login but it doesn't have a recovery key. How can I reset or start over? Thanks for the help.Kevin

No, no other accounts.

What puzzles me is why the Bitlocker recovery key is not listed on the microsoft account, but there is a recovery key listed there for a computer I do not recognise.

I have several laptops but only the HP Envy has had Bitlocker on it. So what key is this on my account? And why isn't the Envy key there?

My computer is locked by BitLocker and the recovery key is not showing in the Microsoft account (the device is listed). How can I generate/retrieve the key (I don't have it stored anywhere)?
