Windows 10: New Windows 11 PC crashes every few hours at low load - Several errors in Event Viewer

Hi all,I have been battling with my new PC for weeks now and I am at a complete loss, so you are my last hope!The system:AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8x 3.80GHzGigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 Vision OCGigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 So.AM4 ATX Retail32GB 2x 16GB Corsair VengeanceWD Black SN850XCorsair RM750xThe problem:Every few hours when I am performing low load activities e-mails, browsing the PC just freezes. The mouse is frozen. Screen often not always goes black. And about half the time the system restarts itself. I always check the Event Viewer and there are many issues that I have tried to tackle

Event Viewer Loading Error

I just tried using Event Viewer from my admin account after upgrading to v 1903. Event Viewer loads and lists the errors OK but clicking on any error entry results in the error messages shown below. Has anyone else had this problem and have a solution? The exception error says "The process cannot access the file 'C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Event Viewer\Views\View_0.xml' because it is being used by another process."






Update: I found a temporary fix by Googling. This appears to be a bug which was fixed for me by renaming or deleting the file view 0.xml as shown below:

As you have mentioned, you have performed a repair installation on the computer and you see Event 508, 510 and 533 in Event Viewer.



I would like to inform that if you see any critical error in Event Viewer, please share the event logs with us to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps. Please follow the steps mentioned below to share the event logs:

1. Press Windows + X from the keyboard, select
   Event Viewer.
   
2. Expand Windows Logs from the left pane and select
   Applications.
   
3. Click Filter Current Log from extreme right pane. Then in the new windows check the box beside
   Error and click OK.
   
4. Now, look for a critical Error in the list and note down the message/information from the
   General Tab in the lower section.
   

Please reply with the status of the issue, we will be glad to help you further.

Event Viewer (MCC.exe) crashes 'System.IO.IOException'

I'm afraid this is another Windows 1903 bug (current ver 1836.175) as it is reproducible on every (?) PC.

• run Event Viewer
• click 'Create Custom View' on the right panel
• create for example a filter for System, events 6005, 6006, give it a name and save it:
  
  
• then click on the left tree "Custom Views" and an mcc.exe crash will occur *Confused reporting a IO error reading "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Event Viewer\Views\View_0.xml"
