Windows 10: New Windows Defender Browser Protection extension for Google Chrome

Just installed the Malwarebytes addon, will be interesting to see how effective it is.

google Chrome crashed in Windows 10, hence I uninstalled it, now I cannot reinstall again

I bought a new PC with Windows 10 (64bit) pre-installed 3 months ago. Now I have the latest version of Windows 10. Initially I installed Google Chrome Browser and was using it OK.Yesterday after installing two extensions (Clearbit connect and Synergyse
training for google apps) , chrome browser started to crash repeatedly.I deletes both the extensions, still chrome was crashing.So I uninstalled Google Chrome.Now I am unable to re-install Google Chrome. I have used chrome for a long time.Can somebody kindly
help.

I strongly suggest to heed Google's advice to enable site isolation....

" Google urged customers to enable the feature - it's off by default in Chrome 63 - to better defend against Spectre attacks."

I haven't seen a Windows Defender add-on for Firefox, but you could add Malwarebytes if you like.

Does this Browser Protection Extension,
work in conjunction with other installed security software.
In other words...
If I install this extension.
Are there any known conflicts between Windows Defender and any other installed security software products?

I currently have the Windows Defender and Malwarebytes add-ons installed for Google Chrome, and haven't noticed any issues so far.

It's my understanding,
that Malwarebytes only provides security for malware protection.

The security software I'm currently using.
Provides both malware and antivirus protection.
This software also takes priority over Windows Defender's protections,
which basically disables Windows Defender,
with the exception of definition updates.

Would you foresee any issue I might encounter.
If I install this extension into Chrome?

 

Malwarebytes extension does a few things.

 

As posted above Malwarebytes does more than just malware protection.

The Windows Defender add-on is separate than Windows Defender in Windows 10, so it should be fine with your other AV software.

 

I installed Malwarebytes extension on both Chrome and Firefox, and immediately noticed a huge increase in speed when loading pages. The blocking it does is very well done. I haven't found any conflicts while running it along with AdGuard and Windows Defender Browser Protection.
